31st January - SurfFeb Paddle out

Sunday 31st Jan
September 14, 2019 - a date that changed my perspective on life, and how the dreaded C word became a part of our day to day life.
We spent the next days, weeks and months learning everything we could about the Leukaemia that my three and a half year old nephew was diagnosed with.
Every message, phone call, doctors appointment and high fever I held my breath, praying that good news would come from them.
The days, weeks and months dragged on, watching this beautiful three year old lose his hyperactive energy, freedom, his ability to socialise and sometimes his beautiful smile drifted away.
Because of our personal connection with cancer, we have come across some extremely special people in Newcastle, raising awareness for the @chris_obrien_lifehouse through @surfebruary .
This year, I’ve joined the @surfebruary Newy team and have pledged to get in the water each day (RAIN, hail or shine) to raise money to support the Chris O’Brian Lifehouse.
Let’s raise as much as we can to help support the people in our communities suffering from Cancer!
