Hometown: The Hill
All of the growth happens outside the comfort zone!
I have done at least 4 charity events each year for the past 10 years or so, but this one is different.
Each day in February I’m getting on board for SurFebruary and raising funds for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
Your donations support services and programs for people with cancer. They drive innovation in research, improve care, and provide equal access to all our services for everyone.
I’m actually quite hopeless at Surfing & really struggle to paddle out, despite loving the idea of it & being at the beach 6 days a week to train on land & dip afterwards.
I figure that whilst I may feel like I’m fighting for my life to stay on the board paddling, at least I will have support from others to get me through on any kind of day. Well, cancer patients really are fighting for their lives & I want to make sure they have the support they need to get through. The funds raised from this great initiative will really help that become a reality.
It only takes a minute and anything you can give (no matter how large or small) will go a long way to helping me reach my target. Thank you, I really appreciate your support.
See you in the water!

It’s a late run on the fundraising, but it’s going to happen!Thursday 18th Feb Well, after being really lean on the fundraising until just a couple of days ago, I’ve been really pleasantly surprised with some late donations. Thank you so much for contributing to this cause guys. Given it’s so early in its lifecycle as a charity, raising awareness is almost as important as the fundraising itself, so if you can’t donate, please at least share with your friends on socials.
Feb is almost hereThursday 28th Jan I must admit after seeing the surf the last few days and not being a surfer, I’m a bit anxious.
Thank you to my Sponsors
